Event Recap: How Decorative Paint Dealers Use an AI Paint Visualizer to Win Jobs — LUXUS PAINT Dealer Training

On March 13, 2026, LUXUS PAINT's Taiwan distributor held a dealer and sales training, bringing in more than 20 dealers from across Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to learn how to sell with RoomDreaming's AI paint visualizer. The goal was simple: let customers see the paint on their own wall before anyone makes a sample board.

Why is decorative paint so expensive to sell?

Decorative paint isn't just picking a color. The same color code applied with a different technique, or in a different finish, becomes a completely different wall.

So every conversation with a customer has a lot of moving parts:

  • Color: a small swatch rarely looks like a full wall.
  • Technique: troweled, brushed or washed finishes look nothing alike.
  • Sample boards: if the first one is wrong, you make another — and another.

Every round trip takes time, and the longer a customer waits, the more likely the job goes cold. More on why swatches fall short: why decorative paint can't be chosen from a color card.

What did the dealers learn?

The training covered a "try first, sample later" workflow. Dealers start the conversation in the visualizer:

  1. The customer takes a photo of their own wall, or uses a ready-made demo room.
  2. They try LUXUS PAINT products on it, switching techniques and finishes for the same color.
  3. Only then do they order sample boards — for the one or two finishes they actually like.

Customers compare options at home, and dealers no longer need to prepare a stack of boards up front. See what it looks like on the paint visualizer page.

Why were dealers so eager to use it?

The room was busy all session, and the biggest reason was this: quote requests go straight to the dealer's LINE. (LINE is the messaging app most businesses in Taiwan run on.)

When a customer is choosing colors and finishes in the visualizer on the LUXUS PAINT website and taps "request a quote," the request is sent directly to the dealer's LINE, with the customer's chosen rendering attached. The dealer sees exactly what the customer wants without starting the conversation from scratch.

How can a brand get its own dealers on board?

A tool only works if the people on the front line actually use it. LUXUS PAINT's approach was straightforward:

  • Put it on the brand website, so customers can try finishes while they research.
  • Give every sales rep their own link, so they can send it to customers — and quote requests come back to them.
  • Run a hands-on training, so dealers try it once and know how to explain it.

FAQ

How does a dealer start using the AI visualizer?

Once the brand is set up, every sales rep at every dealer gets their own visualizer link. They send it to customers, who don't need to download an app or sign up. Quote requests from that link come back to that rep.

Where does a quote request go?

Straight to the dealer's LINE account, with the customer's chosen rendering attached. One tap opens the full request, and the dealer replies with a quote.

How long does onboarding take for a decorative paint brand?

More than a month. Every finish is scanned at high resolution from a physical sample and color-matched to the real color code, so the colors customers see can be trusted.
